Peaches

Peaches

well then... after 12 hours of rigorous rendering on my 2700+, it finished. I could have touched this up in photoshop to correct the shadow problems which im sure you have already noticed, but i decided to show you fellow viewers that 3D modeling is not totally cut and dry.

the only texture used for this render is the wood, the peaches were textured using procedural maps, and customized to my liking.

If a man has a signature, but no one can see it, does it still exist?

That looks great but I don't understand how games can't have any circular edges but 3d renders and movies can have perfect curved edges????

its a polygon count, that peach has just over 250THOUSAND polygons, just through the process of subdivision and polygon dividing. really quite easy if you need to do it, however, the more polygons in a scene to render, the longer it takes, and trust me, that render took too long.

lesson from this render:

say "no" to shadow maps, use ray traced instead.. just have to enable radiosity.
