in my opinion? yes. i dig freeamp more than xmms. the playlists are cool also. but.........xmms is essential for makin those damn mp3's to wav so i can make music cd's with xcdroast.

no my friend. theres lots of gui linux distros fro you to choose from. the one you see is KDE on Mandrake.
