Navbar URLs Hi, I appreciate this may not be a vbgallery issue, but it only occurs when viewing the gallery so thought it best to ask here first. If I view my vBCMS site from "Home" or "Forums" the url for all entries on the NavBar are correct. i.e. Home is www . site . com /content.php Forum is: www . site . com /forum.php Gallery is: www . site . com /gallery/index.php and I have DownloadsII installed which has a navbar link to: www . site . com /downloads.php If I then click on Gallery to go to the vbGallery page, all the links are correct, bar the downloads one, which changes to: www . site . com /gallery/downloads.php It's my assumption that whatever creates the downloads tab is not using the correct site baseurl, and instead is just adding a relative link, but I guess it could be related to a vbGallery template or something - I just can't find the issue. Any thoughts, suggestions or help is most welcome. Cheers, Ben. P.S. apologies for the spaces in the fake urls, despite turning off "Automatically parse links in text" and not using [u r l] tags the system would still complain I'm not allowed to post URLs until I have 15 posts.. |
Ok, So in an inevitable sort of way, 5 mins after posting this I managed to fix it. In case anyone else has this problem, you have to edit the template "downloads2_navbar_link" via the vb admincp. I just put a leading / on the downloads link to make it an absolute URL. Not a vBgallery issue.. Thanks, Ben. |
Yes any relative links in your navbar you want to use full urls or in your navbar replacements in vbgallery admin you could have placed downloads.php for the script to be rewritten with your forum url. |
Sorry Chuck, I don't really understand what you mean by "or in your navbar replacements in vbgallery admin you could have placed downloads.php for the script to be rewritten with your forum url." Is that in the AdminCP? Thanks, Ben. |
Yes in your vb admin panel under vbGallery the manage settings section right up top there are header, navbar and footer replacement sections where you can place script names for the program to rewrite with your forum url prepended to it. |
That's brilliant - I'd read that setting loads of times, and it just hadn't clicked with me that it would fix that.. Thanks Chuck :) |
No problem enjoy your evening. |
