because you do not own photopost pro. You paid some other company for a vbgallery license at a reduced price. You have not bought any licenses from us so you would need to purchase a pro license if you want to use pro. Upgrading your vbgallery license is only going to get you access to vbgallery.

Heh. I pay vBallery lisence and yours pay all authenticity (and risk) to vBGallery. This is point.

If I upgrade Windows (etc), i not must pay all new lisence, only upgrade.

I have now active lisence (i pay 2-3 (60-100$) times active lisense to you) to vBGallery and you say "as not be meaning".

... and vBGallery support is bad. Software's development is very slow.

You bought your vbgallery from another company or when we first aquired it for the $59.00 price correct! You have access to vbgallery should you wish to use it. That is what you paid for.

What you do not have access to is Photopost Pro. Only those users whom purchased Photopost Pro licenses since the license merge in September of 2007 I beleive would have access to install or use either license. That is how it works because those users paid the normal full price of $129.00 or maybe $99.00 which sometimes is the sale price.

My problem not be what those users paid. I ask: Why you are product "PhotoPost" and there more sub-product and i cannot change my lisence to expensive cash payment (like Windows and vBulletin)?

I not want new lisence, i want only change my lisence.

You own vbGallery license not a Photopost Pro license. You have access to vbGallery code.

There is no license upgrade fee. You own what you own. Therefore you can download vbGallery. If you want to download Photopost Pro then you would need to purchase that product.

Because there is no upgrade license process from vbGallery to Photopost Pro. There is no other explanation. Users after the license merge where entitled to use either software not people who owned vbGallery licenses bought at $59.00

You would only need to upgrade, Chuck was saying if you had never purchased a product from us before you would purchase; but since you have, you only need a current support subscription (which it says you do according to your Verified Customer tag).

Michael

The issue is more complex than that. If you read all the previous posts you will see he is a vbgallery license holder from the old days. He can not upgrade in that scenerio. If he wishes to run Photopost Pro he would need to purchase a Photopost Pro license at full price and then import vbGallery into Photopost Pro as noted in my posts.

Only users whom purchased licenses of vbGallery at the full standard $99.00 price or after the license merge in 2007 are able to run either vbGallery or Photopost Pro.

There is no vbGallery for vb4 currently. Our only gallery product that works with vbulletin 4 is Photopost Pro. Michael has posted we expect a beta of vbGallery for vb4 in a week or so.

Me too ... but, this time, I can afford to wait... vb4 is a huge mess and feel more comfortable waiting for 4.1 + to upgrade my board...

Can wait to see how vbGallery for vb4 looks like... hopefully no more tables... heheh

Thanks

well there are other threads on this issue but its only a matter of time. Basically the over 200 bug fixes and the impending release of 4.02 with another 100 bug fixes is preventing the release of a beta currently. The dev team was getting close to a beta release then 4.01 came out with a whole bunch of changes in how things where done and they had to basically go back to the drawing board so to speak.

We're getting close; although hopefully 4.02 won't impact us as much as the 4.01 release did. I'm hopeful we'll have a test site up shortly with all the rewritten code that we can hit on. And then shortly afterwards a public beta. I'd like to say end of the month for a beta, but allot depends on the update issues by vB.
