I was thinking that the way the original image is shown seems to be quite revealing I've been reviewing Invision Power Gallery and I like the way they do it check this link as an example

When you click on the image it watermarks both the medium sized image and the full sized image and there is a file size limit you set for the large image and medium size images are created automatically if the image is too big.
It also hides the image url when you click on the large image.

Ps I'm not trying to step on anyones toes by comparing the two galleries as they are quite different in the way they operate however I just want vbgallery to be the best it can be

Yes I want to rework the direct called to the images.
- I also have a little light box add-on I might drop it, or make it a mod using plugins. Where the image fades in vs. standard _blank window.

I personally don't mind which way it's done as long as it's more private.
I understand photoplog pro currently has this lightbox thing you are telling me about
