Purchase option in general

The Suggestion
I'm perhaps missing this but can't seem to find the purchase link for vBGallery. I tried the link at the top of the forums but only takes me to Photopost and Reviewpost purchase option.

This gives me the impression that you don't really care about selling move version of vBGallery and as such is leaving me wondering how long you'll continue to support it before offering us all a move to Photopost. Now I've seen in the past your saying this isn't the case but actions speak louder than words so would be nice to be able to buy more copies easily and also be able to buy branding free which is what I really went looking for because I'm sick of all those branding tags round my site and I'm clearing them all off where possible.

The Request
Please tell me where I can buy the brand free option?

Oh and cheers for the 1.0.2 update going to install that today.

If you look in the Before You Buy section you will see instructions on how to purchase vBGallery. It's the very top post in the forum:

You can order the brand-free removal option at the same time by adding it onto your PayPal order (the cost is the same as for all PhotoPost products) if you are ordering more copies of vBGallery or you can buy just the brand-free option from our store and indicate which license you are buying it for.

Actually I just came across that but it's not exactly as straight forward as buying Photopost is it? As I said that doesn't give me the impression your really caring about it as much as Photopost when it comes to selling it.

I've already got a couple vBGallery and also a couple of Photoposts so I guess I can just use the brand free purchase option at the top to buy it for one of my current licenses?

Sorry that you have that impression, but we have several factors involved in the same of the two products side-by-side. I think the impression that we "don't care" has been addressed by our actions which include year extentions for license holders at the time of the conversion, hiring of existing support staff, availabaility of purchase/downloads quickly after conversion, integration and improved licensing system to accomidate multiple license holders, promenent display of thread to help people purchase the product, updated version to include bug fixes, honoring the current sale price of the product, etc.

The issue of having two similiar products available for purchase means being able to effectively distinguish between the two products so the consumer knows what exactly it is they are purchasing. Also, having two products with very different price points on the same page can be counter productive; it is likely that the price will change once we make the product available via our store as to bring the pricing in line with our other products.

So, having said all that, I think the suggestion that we are neglecting the product or our customers is unfounded; we are working very hard to make this as smooth of a transition as possible.

I did say the impression is that you don't care about selling the product not that you don't care about supporting it at the moment ;). I've been happily impressed with the support I've seen since the take over as support was one of the main reasons I left last time. It's good to see it's improved ten fold, still that doesn't mean I shouldn't have an easy option to buy your product. :D

I'd say the transistion point has passed and the honeymoon period is over for both photopost and the customers. We are over 3 months down the line now since the take over, we've not had time isn't really an excuse any more for little things like being able to purchase something easily or having a comparison table set up between your two products.

However, I do appreciate the point about the pricing structure and perhaps it's time you got on with the price hike because as customers we've had our honeymoon period to make additional purchases, not that I don't appreciate still being able to buy it at the old cost :).

Well, it just so happens that we've been having the very discussion over the past week; so I would say that it will happen sooner than later.
