Make photo comments show in vbulletin "New Posts" search
 

Is there a way to have comments made on photos show up when someone clicks "New Posts" in vbulletin? We have the integration that increments a users post count so this seems like a logical progression. Right now some very good comments are never seen by the rest of my forum users since they dont know to look in the gallery.

No ideas eh?

I was doing a search on just this issue. Is this still on your to-do list?

Bump! I personally think this is the one BIGGEST missing parts of photopost. Most our users click "New Posts" and don't even go to the forumhome anymore.. they are missing the gallery because it just isn't featured or integrated enough.

There should be an option to include photos and/or comments when a user clicks on New Posts, or alternatively have a "New Photos" link that I could place on the navbar next to New Posts.

It would really be best to have it included in "New Posts" though... I would pay for this kind of integration. I'm really surprised this hasn't been done yet...

but you must be able to turn it off...
if i go to new posts and expect new forum content..

and if i see the first 50 posts are just users commenting 50 pics saying .. hey super pic.. or Looooooool ( thats what you mostly get) i dont want to continue reading the new posts section..

It hasn't been done because it is not really doable ;)

Would be excellent to have both admin and user options as well as some flexibility on how the results would show up.


I don't quite see why, especially if the db's are together...

Take a look at how vBulltin search.php works, and you will see why ;)

Aswell as the number of pictures, and replys in the forum instead of "-"
