using this with advanced warning system

dunno how itwould be done or id do itmyself...

but making this work with the AWS would be a +.

its a very very LARGE hack/addon for a site. it works great so far.

what it does is basically puts a system on your vbulletin forum where you are able to control warnings and bans much easier. you can warn users for threads, set warning points, and when points are accumulated to a set number by you they get banned, so on.

anyways....any way to port this with using the gallery? think it can be done?

I'm not familiar with it (haven't had a need to get that granular with warnings yet) but, as the old saying goes, anything is possible.

From looking over the thread in the link you gave I get the big picture of what it does.... how exactly would you want it integrated Gallery? A link when viewing the image and a link when viewing the comments or did you have something else in mind?

well the AWS puts this system on your site that lets you give warnings on threads/post from users. so if users were to break rules in the gallery by posting images that arent allowed, they could get warned on that as well.

With the AWS installed just go to:

http://www.yoursite.com/forum/admincp/admin_warn.php?act=view

and add any type of warning you want. So- if you see a user posting naughty pictures in the gallery then just warn them in the forum. Personally, I don't see any need to expand it any further than it already is, or maybe I am confused about what you are trying to accomplish.

That's what I'm not getting either.

I understand the concepts of the system but haven't gotten yet how exactly they'd like to see it integrated with Gallery (when additional warning types can be added through the AWS ACP).

the AWS places links on posts, where admins and mods can warn a user for specific posts that link to that post.

if the AWS was integrated with the gallery, this link would be on the specific images within the gallery, and user can be warned for those images being posted, having it linked to the warning.

its more of a way to track warnings as well.

when a user is warned for posts with the AWS, a icon appears on the their posts. its a warned icon. looks like a stop sign. so if a user were to get warned for a image in the gallery, that icon would also appear on their picture being warned on.
