[Suggestion] Combine The Search Engines

This might be a tall order but I'm hoping the hooks in 3.5 will make this doable.
It would be nice to have one search engine for the gallerys are the fourms. All the time I see users trying to search for pictures in the fourms search engine as well as the other way around. There is also the issue of people clicking on the "Find all posts by" link in the users profile. It would be nice if this link would also find the comments left by users for pictures. Combining the search engines would solve this.

I agree- more than one search engine is confusing.

Just so it's an option that we can turn off.

Why not an extra search field in the $navbar template on the "search"
dropdown. It will just submit to the gallery vs. the forums.

This way if your $navbar built in to the forums is on a page so is a search for the gallery.

Zachariahs -- I like the idea. Do you have any sample code on how to go about that?

I added the advanced searches to my navbar links. You can see it attached.

Still...
I hate it when you go to someones profile page and click Find all posts by" " and it comes up zero, even if the guy has made 300 comment in the gallery section.
