| Change log
Is there a change log available for the gallery?
Extensive modifications have been made to my rc4 copy which we would like to keep intact.

Your best bet would be to get a copy of Beyond Compare or a similar program and use that to see the differences between the versions.

Thats funny, I was about to post that same question.
Dont you have some kind of "in house" change log you could use for the public?
I cant imagine that program you mention list's bug fixes.

Technically it does...
IT shows you the differences between file A and File B of the same sort.
and then you can make the changes you need...

vBulletin doesn't even include a log of all changes to all PHP files.
The low down is, you download the latest version and install it. If you run a modified version, you're on your own.

But you must be talking about a modified version, because if you're running a stock version of Gallery, you have no need for a Change Log. You simply upgrade and you're done.

| Re: Change log
Ya, thats cool.
Here is a great example of a change log though.
I would be surprised if Bri didnt have something like this at home
3.0.1
-----
- Fixed issue with INSERT sub-directive causing pages to generate an error message when rebuilt
- Fixed issue with daylight savings time not being taken into account on display dates and times
- Added support for bulk deleting banned IP addresses
- Added support for adding a range of banned IP addresses
3.0.0
-----
- Fixed references to accounts.cgi in the email_added.tpl template
- Fixed issue of some servers not allowing is_file to be called on unusually formatted strings
- Fixed empty option field on the Manage Pages interface when no categories are defined
- Added ##Signup_Time## template value
- Added test to make sure required MySQL version is available during init
- Added warning message when the banner directory does not exist or has incorrect permissions
- Added option to require that username and password be different
- Added option to set the maximum allowed length of user comments
- Fixed issue with ##Category_Page## template value not working properly
3.0.0 BETA 003
--------------
- Fixed issue with MySQL error when running the Reset Total Hits In/Out function
- Fixed issue with MySQL error when resetting the cheat tally for an account
- Fixed issue with database backup function not updating the last backup date
3.0.0 BETA 002
--------------
- Updated database table definitions to workaround known bug in some MySQL versions
- Fixed bug in the in.cgi utility script which prevented forwarded clicks from being counted
- Fixed bug in the admin_emailtemplates.tpl file which prevented the HTML portion from displaying correctly
- Fixed bug that prevented the ##Out_URL## value from working for the featured site
When you have a real change log like this it's way eaiser to know if you actually NEED to upgrade or not
Anyway.....

Whenever a new version is released then any new features and such will be listed in the thread regarding the new version. Then the additional info can be found in the bugs forum for that version.
