recomendations on gallery file sizes

whats a good size limit for file uploads?
2 megs seem too large

If you don't have it set to keep the original image, then you can set it as high as you want so that the users don't have to re-size it before uploading. Then Gallery will size it down to the resolution you choose, and delete the large file. If you want to keep the originals, then you may want to lower the max. size as you said...

I have all mine set at 8megs, and I keep originals, but I have lots of space.

if i want to conserve space.. do i change original image quality? its set at 100%

or do i change the max size in the allowed file types?

whats the best keep space usage down??
