| "-1" = unlimited (admin), mass-delete (user), member category options (user)
Just purchased and installed this today, and I have a few suggestions: - (ADMIN) In the usergroup permissions, it would actually be nice to specify a limit of 0 for the sub-category limit and/or the total disk space limit. For starters, have 0 as the default means that "unlimited" overrides any secondary usergroup settings. I had to set all of my usergroups to limits of 1 & 1 for all usergroups before trying to set a limit for the secondary usergroups (otherwise the "unlimited" default took precidence). I suggest using a setting of "-1" to specify an "unlimited" condition, and let "0" actually mean "zero".
- (USER) A "mass delete" option would be nice for the end user. I see they can empty a sub-category which deletes all images in that category, but if they only wanted to delete 10 images they have to edit and delete each individual image.
- (USER) I have a member category setup, and I noticed the user doesn't have access to the standard category options for their main member category. It doesn't show up in the category admin menu (only sub-forums show up) so they can't empty, delete it, or make it private. Sub-category settings work fine, but their main category appears to be quite limited. I suggest allowing the user to modify this category via the category admin menu so they can delete it, empty it, or make it private if they wish.
That's what I've found so far. If I made an error in any of the items above please let me know. As I said I just installed this so I may be misunderstanding the interface or made an error during the install.

1). If you turn the 'Can create categories' option off then it shouldn't matter what value you have set for the number of categories they can create.
2). There is a mass edit/delete option available for admins/mods in the modcp, but not regular users.
3). Those categories are created on the fly and are not actual categories, so it would require a little more work for something like this. That may be an option in a future version though.

Brian,
1) But if your Primary usergroup has Can Create Categories set to NO, and your Secondary usergroup has it set to YES, and the Secondary usergroup has a limit of 5 categories (for example), the 0 for the category limit on the Primary usergroup will override the 5, giving them unlimited categories.
The short term solution would be to set the Primary usergroup's limit to 5 as well. But, of course, if you have multiple choices of secondary usergroups, all with different limits, that won't work for you...

1) See ConqSoft's reply
2) Correct, hence the suggestion (allow users to select multiple images for deletion).
3) Thanks, it isn't intuitive that they can't delete or change settings for their main category, only sub-categories. Fwiw I can't even figure out how to delete it as an admin other than emptying the entire parent category (which would remove every user's personal category).

3) You can't delete it, because it isn't there. You would just remove all of that user's images from the parent category, and their name/sub-category would disappear.

Thanks, I didn't know it would disappear automatically when the "category" was emptied.
Does anyone know when the users manual will be available?
