Mass upload

As seen in coppermine. You should be able to upload to a folder and have an option to import those images to any category.

Unless I am stupid and you already can do this?

Re: Mass upload

In the zip file. The installation instructions/readme. There's a section describing how the FTP option works.

Re: Mass upload

Then how did you know how to do all the PHP file changes, and other things required to install Gallery?

Re: Mass upload

Oh nevermind, found it.

But what I ment was that I can have a /ftp/1 folder, and use that for my account, but I have 3 folders with files with the same image names, going from 000-999, so I would have to use /ftp/1/one, /ftp/1/two, etc. and I cant?

Re: Mass upload

You would have to put them into your /ftp/1/ folder one group at a time.

So, I would upload one batch of 000-999, upload from server, then delete and upload second batch?

Re: Mass upload

You won't have to delete. They are removed when you add them to Gallery.

Re: Mass upload

Oh, so they are moved to another folder? Neat. I'll try that out.

Re: Mass upload

Yes, they are put into your normal user upload folder, under the files directory.

Re: Mass upload

Hrm, well. I created two folders to fix the folder creating problem.

I now have an upload folder which is the default, and the ftp folder for mass uploading. I've uploaded 700 images to the ftp folder and now I am adding them at 25 images at a time, and they are getting added to the upload folder without any problems. The only thing is that the images in the ftp folder are not erasing themselfs after being added. Normal, or did I miss something?

Now I am getting a blank page after a few pages God this is driving me nuts.
