Moving Images to Other Categories

Image Tools - Edit Image

As admin, I cannot (edit) move images from one category to another category unless that other category is set up to "Allow Other Users to Upload to Category."

Somehow an access override is needed for admins to move an image to "any" user's category.

Hopefully I didn't miss another way to make these moves. Maybe something needs to be added to "Admin Options" and incidently, I like "Set Category Image" being an admin only function.

Try looking in your /forum/functions_gallery.php file for this code:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Replace it with this:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
And let me know if that solves the problem.

Re: Moving Images to Other Categories

Change made in: /forum/includes]# vi functions_gallery.php

I still had access to only those categories that were set to "Allow Other Users to Upload to Category." (Basically, my own categories and one common user category.)

I have no moderators set in any of my categories, so I added myself to one user category in particular and even it did not appear in the "edit image" category choice list. I have several user categories filled with their stuff.

Would you mind submitting a support ticket so I can take a look then?

Re: Moving Images to Other Categories

Another observation about this issue. Each user has their own category on my site.

If a user's category is set as "Allow Other Users to Upload to Category" NO.

And then as admin, you "edit image" on one of this user's photos to change text and then save, it will be moved to the first open category available to you as admin. Thus it is REMOVED from the user's category.

Am I supposed to add myself as a moderator to their category? No, their category is still not available to admin on the edit image screen category list.
