| Trying to upgrade
When I navigate to the vbgallery_install.php page I am presented with the 3 options:
Fresh Install of vBGallery v. 3.01
Reinstall the templates, phrases and plugins.
Uninstall Photopost vBGallery.
I know the article mentions to "select the reimport the phrases, templates and product."
I am not showing that as an option and unsure of how to proceed.
Just want to be sure

You did not get us time to reply. If your referring to vbGallery 3.02 which can support the navigation system in vb 4.20 you upload all the files and run the option to reimport or reinstall the templates, phrases and product.
It really is that simple.

I have tried several times and I am having the same issue. It gives the following options:
Fresh Install of vBGallery v. 3.01
Reinstall the templates, phrases and plugins.
Uninstall Photopost vBGallery.
There is no option to "select the reimport the phrases, templates and product."
Also, shouldn't it say "Fresh Install of vBGallery v. 3.02", not 3.01?
Please help...

It really is that simple. | I ended up paying for a PRO INSTALL. I could not wait 2 hours between replies. If version 3.2 or whatever is available please install the latest one and make it work along with the settings we have now, thanks in advance.
There was NO reimport options is the reason I started this thread, perhaps rewrite your "instructions". Not every customer is a technical wizard. |

I see we are having communication issues...
This is copied and pasted from the bottom of the page:
"Powered by PhotoPost vBGallery v3.01"
Am I correct? If it is fine, how come when I got to the activity stream...
Why does the filter for new pictures NOT work?
forum link/activity.php
Top right hand corner...
Something is still amiss and hopefully you can fix it?!?!
Not "fine", IMHO.
PS- Quick Reply

3.02 should not affect your copyright since there is no real upgrade so thats fine.
The activity stream has nothing to do with vbGallery so there is no issue there. I assume that pictures thing is something in activity stream to do with vb album photos? Maybe you have pictures enabled in vb profile settings.
If your talking about submitting a comment on a photo the settings are whatever you set in vbulletin settings. If there is some vb setting that says you can not post a url in a comment till you make 15 posts then this is something you have set in vbulletin. We use some permission like that on our forums. I do not do product support for vbulletin so off the top of my head I can not tell you where in vb that is.
Other than your copyright saying 3.01 which is normal in the gallery your other questions deal with vbulletin forum software and settings not vbgallery.

Isn't vbGallery integrated, shouldn't it work with the activity feed pictures link?
The rest was a message from here, where we are posting SUPPORT questions. To *other websites* I found it humorous. Silly as all hell, but hilarious none the less.
So, in closing- I do have 3.0.2 but it isn't properly coded to show that, and it also DOES NOT have activity feed (a key selling point of the newest version of the vB software) support either?
Am i right?

The activity feed is some vbulletin feature to show vbulletin content and is brand new with no documentation. There is no documentation released from us that say we support that new feature in fact just the opposite. PhotoPost vbGallery 3.02 for vbulletin 4.2 Released
I think we were very specific what the 3.02 release was all about and what was included. Like I said since you are not running an upgrade the copyright on the software was not updated. I can gladly release it with an upgrade that updates the version number that is no problem if you want.
vbGallery has of yet to go under a beta cycle that should be soon. We are trying to get PhotoPost Pro 8.1 out the door that supports 4.2 navigation menu etc. I already released Classifieds and next on my agenda is ReviewPost and then sometime Michael should look at vbGallery. If there is documentation on the activity feed thing by then it is something we have on the books to look at for all the products.

OK- the vBulletin guys told me I would need to upgrade to your latest version. Maybe soon you will catch up. No worries, business as usual I guess.
Cheers and thanks for the timely, courteous replies. 15 posts, next time I can link to the affected site, yAAAy!
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Yep the activity stream is cool there is just no documentation on it.
In fact the navigation menu had no documentation either. I was lucky enough a customer of ours actually got into the beta cycle and got enough documentation where things could get done for that.
Since I wrote all the vb4 plugins anyway for our products rest assured if I can find a way I will. |

If your referring to the navigation manager that is correct look at all your forum links in your forum there are no form inputs anymore in the vb forum either everything must be a straight link meaning you can not have a form in the navigation manager.
Personally for me I will probally just remove the child advanced search link and simply have the search be a straight link to the search page.
