VB Gallery Import and privacy

Hello,
I have read the import requirement etc... I have a concern though before importing and disabling the main VB gallery.

How do I make sure that the members private pictures stay private, and the permissions set by the members won't be overridden by the import script.
In other words only the public pictures in their album are displayed in the main forumhome page.

I ran the script and it imported everything, so I quickly cleared everything out with the script : "Clear out previous import. Do this ONLY if you want to start over."
Thanks

It should retain permissions I would think have you actually ran the import and checked things out.

Yes I have it did import everything

private pictures were posted on the front page, but when you click them you cannot access them, and it complains about permission.

This is no good still, I do not want them to be posted on the front page.

Is VbGallery a replacement to the Gallery shipped with VB ? and if so then I'm assuming that it has some sort of permission settings which my members need to tweak after import and after I disable the stock gallery?

There is no gallery shipped with vbulletin.

vbulletin contains profile pictures where users can have some albums etc but you can not create categories or most of the gallery features you find in a gallery product.

Your users should be able to view there albums and set permissions in some other fashion I assume like if users dont want others to view the album then under the album permissions do not check this

Category Options
Allow Other Users to View Category
