vBGallery 2.5 import script Like many I also used the vBulletin basic album system. Today after receiving a nice email from sales I thought I should try vBGallery 2.5 especially since it has an import script. I don't think it's working as intended. After installation I ran the import script, which took a few minutes to complete and only complained about 6 images not importing. Anyway it imported 1888 member categories and some 13k images. However many of the image titles are messed up and their actual stored location on disk in totally messed up. It's my understanding the images would be stored in /files/{user_id}... however most are stored in some unexpected locations. For instance: mysite/gallery/files/8/0/2/5/3/cd2afd3d0a25d4efd5c022791a06cf8a_14384.jpg the 80253 is actually the userid but I think the correct folder should simply be /80253/. Then there's the whole issue with file names not being processed properly. Any suggestions to correct these problems? |
Tundra The import script successfully worked from what your describing. Photopost vbGalleries file structure is exactly as you have posted mysite/gallery/files/8/0/2/5/3/cd2afd3d0a25d4efd5c022791a06cf8a_14384.jpg If you look at any photo uploaded to vbgallery its structure is the same. Member's Categories - Reeftalk vBGallery 006 - Reeftalk vBGallery The userid is split and the filepath is exactly as you note so nothing appears incorrect from what I can see. |

Well if one never really looked at how the program saves files until now I guess you would consider it strange but thats how the product does it. |
