| | Guest | Coppermine Import ******ADMIN NOTES!!!! - Post 10 Sep 2006
This thread is an old imported thread from the former VB Advanced Gallery which as you now know as PP VBgallery. If you chose to use these scripts you do so with out any warranty from this site. Please try them at your own risk.
******End
This script will import the images from your current Coppermine installation and convert them for use with vBadvanced Gallery. How to use this script:
1). Back up your images and Coppermine database.
2). Download the file below and open it with a text editor. You will see a place where it is necessary to set the path to three different places (your Coppermine installation, your forums, and your vBa Gallery files directory). Change the paths accordingly.
3). Upload the file to your root directory, go to the file in your browser, and follow the instructions there.
4). Remove the file from your server once it has finished.
5). Enjoy vBadvanced Gallery.
Please note that at this time these import scripts have only been tested on a few installations. If you experience any problems please post here and we will be happy to help and make sure you get your files imported properly.

Strange... I assume they were all working ok in Coppermine, right?
If you'd just like to submit a support ticket I'll be glad to take a look and see what the problem is.

The new script works great. Some very minor clean up was needed. Nothing that the average person shouldn't be satisfied with.
Make sure you update you site info uder "modify Settings" before doing the import.
All n all, I feel a need to thank you for suppling a fully integrated system for an image gallery's at a super affordable price.

Fixed part of the problem. Different url but same server. So I just changed the path. But now I got all the categories but no images. I'll also try a different path and will revert.

Mine doesn't work at all because I was running the port version for phpnuke, so nothing seems to import. |
