How to get Iamges from previous Installation

Okay, here is our little problem, and quite realise that it may not be resolved.

We use to have vbgallery installed on our site, but was removed by the person who was then in charge of the technical side of the site in 2005. But he left the Gallery files on the server, which under Gallery/Files/ you have a long list of pictures files and index's etc.

We have just installed the latest verion onto the forum, and followed the upgrade, and all this worked fine, and is running well, but it did not load up any of the old pictures etc.

Is there anyway we can get it to upload those pictures back into the system.

(We didn't upload the files folder, we left the original one in place.)

So, anyone have any ideas on this issue?

If it is not possible to get them back, is it okay to remove the images from the gallery files?

There is really no way to get them back unless you have both the files and the old database and do an upgrade not an install.

Otherwise you can essentially choose to reupload them manually or via bulkupload if you do not have the old database.

I loaded up as an upgrade, and all that worked fine, just the images and categorgies didn't load back up.

I suspected that if it didn't load up during the upgrade that something was amiss.
