Did I botch up the upgrade?

Good thing I'm testing on a developers box first :whew: Here's what's happening. I upgraded vbulletin to 3.6.8 and vbportal to 3.6.5. I was using vbadvanced gallery 1.0.1 at the time. Obviously everything went "wonky" with it after all the changes.

I got access to the members area today and downloaded vbgallery 2.3 as this more than suits the needs of the community. I simply overrode the gallery and forums directory and set the path in gallery_global.php. Then I proceeded to admincp/vbgallery_install.php and was told that the gallery already exists(after selecting the upgrade option).

As such I decided to try the "Reinstall the templates, phrases, plugins" option and that seemed to have worked...somewhat. The problem is that the gallery page is not picking up my vbulletin template; everything is just whitespace and hyperlinks. What did I do wrong? Thank you for any light you may shed on this current predicament of mine.

Another error: When I try to log in from the gallery/index.php view I get the following:

POST requests from foreign hosts are not allowed.

I think I know why the style is not showing up....it's trying to pick it up from my main site instead of from the dev box. Any idea how I can change this? I would like to have this thing working 100% before I attempt the upgrade on the real thing.

I am suspecting your issues are because you have not set in your dev box forum and gallery setups the correct urls to the dev box installs instead the urls are set for your main site. You need to sign in and change all that if you want to do a true test.

And your suspicions are correct! The urls were pointing to the main site and I changed them to localhost...and voila! Thank you again! You guys rock!
