| Why is vbgallery STILL not on the ordering page?
I have to look everywhere to find out what the current pricing is and I still can't find it. Why make it so difficult to find? Can't you guys just add it to the ordering page already? It's been well over a year since you bought the script hasn't it? Is there a fear that putting it next to your more expensive script will hurt revenue or something?
I liked it so much better when vbadvanced owned the script, it wasn't treated like the red-headed step child in the product line. It was a great alternative for those of us who wanted a tighter integration with the vb template system and code base. Now it's a pain in the %$$ just to find the pricing for the damned script.
Sorry for the rant, but seriously, what gives? You bought the rights to the script now treat it like one of your own products, will ya? Sheesh!

I guess you do not recieve the email from us as this was addressed by our company. We would have sent it to your email on file for the license. As we said almost 2 years ago when we addressed the issue we said once we did a site redesign where we can add the pertinent information for vbgallery into our site we would add this to our cart. We announced about 3 weeks ago the merging of Photopost Pro and vbGallery licensing. Meaning new users can pick which product they want to us. Our entire site has been redesigned and our features page clearly outlines that users integrating with vbulletin can choose Photopost Pro or vbGallery for download when they go to the members area. Therefore users would purchase in our online store the Photopost Pro Gallery Software license and download one of the two chooses of software. http://www.photopost.com/featuresphp.html#forvb |

Okay, so a vbgallery license is not sold separate anymore. You now have to pay $129 for it. How unfortunate - to get a license for the product you want you have to pay for the more expensive product. That's too bad for those of us who don't want to use Photopost Pro, but we're paying for it anyway.
So how long before vbgallery has all the same features as PP Pro? If you have to pay $129 for it that tells me it should have all the same features.

This is the most sensible alternative and the only one to make sense. To keep vbgallery separate would mean its end. I would expect to see some Pro features ported to vbGallery but they I beleive will never share all the same features.

And yet another conspiracy theory is born..... given that all the other doom and gloom theories have proven false over the years, why should this one be any different?

If I were buying a gallery today and had no prior knowledge of both products, Pro would most probably be my choice as it has more features. vBgallery is even belittled on the product page, "It is a lighter, more streamlined version of PhotoPost, and doesn't include many of the more advanced features of PhotoPost Pro". Im sure most of your new clients will be installing Pro for this reason which will lead to a smaller vBgallery install base over time. As less and less people use it, it will no longer be viable for AEI to maintain two galleries.

Again, conjecture. We've supported and maintained vBGallery since our acquisition; I see no reason for that to change. This thread was about seeing vBGallery on the order page, we explained that you now have a choice between products when you purchase a license giving you even greater flexibility to choose or switch between products.
So instead of being happy that we're offering even more flexibility even for those who purchased the original product at a much lower cost, you move on to complain about something else.
So, I am left thinking that this was the real purpose of these threads; just to come in and complain and really nothing we do would keep you from finding something else to complain about.
I regret you aren't a happy customer; but we've worked hard to support and integrate the two sets of users over the years and based on our feedback I would say the majority of people are happy with our support and services.

| Ill be happy the moment vbgallery gets the same treatment as Pro. Are there plans for a 3.0 vbgallery?

I don't think it's only a come in and complaining but I'm sure many of us think the same but the most give it up to complain about.
It's a fact that the price of the vbgallery is increased dramatically but the value we get for it not.
Since two years now there hasn't been really too much improvments or additional features development.

Actually there has been quite a lot of development. Zach has been coming up with awesome ideas, and I like it. It seems to me you want the pro license for the cost of vBgallery. Quit hanging on to the past and move on.

Thank You ComputerGuy not many people see that and yes lots of development of vbgallery has taken place in almost 2yrs. Zach has done a great job. People just dont see that. There is a slew of new stuff that has been added to vbgallery as well as fixing all the bugs that where in it left in it when we got the code. There would be no vbulletin 3.6 support if we where not developing vbGallery. The list can go on and on.

yeah I saw the post about it. I know back when it was a vba product, the price was the kicker for me. not everyone needs the power of pp, and they made it where you can change over when you do. if you bought vbg before the post....I guess I could see your point, but I would say don't renew when the time comes. vbg is a light weight gallery compared to pp. I love it for that.

The "Renew Members Area Access" is for either PHP Pro or vBGallery.
