animated gif thumbs too big?

our gallery thumbs are set to 100 pixels high. when users upload animated gifs though, they upload and show properly, but the thumbs are full size instead of being resized to 100 pixels. (which of course throws off the rows and columns in the gallery). did i miss a setting? what can i do to fix it?
thanks!

animated gifs can not be processed by image processors. I do know what else to say except delete them

oh bummer! most of them are resized and do fine. just once in a while it happens. we just upload a jpg and link to the gif. thanks!
