In VB 4.x the storage location for my custom avatars is an offsite CDN URL instead of a usual local directory. As a result in PP 8.1, anyone with a custom avatar is shown a broken image when you view their photos.
(see attached image)
The URL for the image ends up being something like:
Not without more information what does the url look like? Remember you have not posted a real url here for me to see your issue. Obviously the fix I did worked for something there may be another case that needs to be looked at.
This is the avatar path your thing is looking for?
Content visible to verified customers only.
Basically what I did was check to see if your vbulletin options avatar url has a http on the front of it and if so remove the forum path
I would need an ftp account database access so I can run the query or at the very least full admin account with sql access to the vb maintenance run queries thing to run the query to see what is returned where.
I need to see what avatar case that specific user is hitting. It sure looks to me like the custom avatar url thing and we took care of that with the suggested code above.
We're now storing the default vBulletin avatars and all other images in the CDN as well. So tell me, what should I change to get the default avatars to display correctly in Photopost if using a full http address to reference their storage location?
This is for the default Avatars that the admin can add to their vB forum. The user can choose one of them or if allowed can upload their own custom avatar. The code above fixed the link to just the custom avatars - so now I'm looking to fix the link to the built in avatars.
