Is this possible at all in VBG? In PP it makes uploading from the server a snap. In VBG it is no where near as nice. I can only do about 50 per batch, server limits, and I have to click next on each one.
Alot of vbGallery functionality is limited and tied to the core vbulletin product and the limitations therein. You do not see all the nice features of Pro in vbGallery indeed but you own enough licenses why not run 2 PhotoPost Pro installs.
You can not convert an old vbgallery license you got elsewhere to a Pro license.
For the record you own 2 Pro licenses, 1 ReviewPost, 1 Classifieds and 1 vbGallery
If you want to renew members access for that expired pro license and use Pro you can do so for license 17341. Otherwise you can gladly stick to vbGallery I was just bringing up the fact you owned more than one Pro license.
I may just end up splitting them onto another server. The HD PP Gallery I have is already over 700GB. I think if I could split that off I could dial down the drives of the srever to SSDs for the same cost and improve the database speed.
vbGallery is essentially a dead script yes for sure considering vBulletin 5. I already know at the minimum we can support PhotoPost Pro with login and css/template integration at the minumum. Given how vbulletin 5 is written and the changes in regards to how there header footers and general system works I see no feasible way to port vbGallery to that system. It took a year and a half of resources to rewrite vbGallery to work with vbulletin 4. Fiscally I do not see how that product line can survive.
I know how you have to create w separate plugins but if your asking have I personally done it as of yet the answer is no.
I may have a different answer given some free time to do it.
I make no guarantees as I have personally never tried this but this should work.
You need to rename it to source-42.xml and place it in the install directory of your second install overwriting the normal one and generate a plugin for the second install using this.
Do not mix it up with the original one. There is one edit you will need to do to the pp-inc.php global file in your second install. At the top on the define statement for PP_SCRIPT you will need to change the define from photopost_pro to photopost_pro2 so your define is unique and we can load the proper tab and navigation for the second site in your vb navigation bar.
Tried but I am having mega problems. I think I am about to give up and install it on a separate site and use the PP internal.
Here is one error: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare photourlsafe() (previously declared in /home/members/public_html/global.php(29) : eval()'d code:28) in /home/members/public_html/global.php(29) : eval()'d code on line 131
No reason not to be calm I can not think of one single problem you have had that has to do with our Product.
I already said there is no supported way of doing what you want to do but to try the above plugin. I definately said this is not something I have tried. You can try redoing it now. A duplicate function would be common when trying to apply a plugin twice. I redid the above plugin renaming the functions it should work.
I am just saying you need to calm down there is no need for all the frustration all you do is raise your blood pressure. It is very easy to ask your question walk away from the issue come back when there is an answer and not waste time on the negativity.
I know learned along time ago to walk away and try and remain calm. 5 kids ages 23 to 7 and sometimes I feel like treating someone like a football and I am the kicker. LOL
