Question Cannot run the install for an upgrade

I have an old version of Photo Post. Do I need to upgrade to the next version or can I simply upgrade to the newest version?

I uploaded all the necessary files. However, when I go to the URL nothing happens.

Here's the URL I'm using to try and run the upgrade install:
http://www.creativeimaginations.us/P...ry_install.php

I've attached a screen shot of my FTP server so you can verify that the installation file is in the right location.

Please help.

If you are running Photopost Pro you must download PhotoPost pro and use that products upgrade file to upgrade. You can not use vbGallery as thats a totally different product.

Thanks Chuck.

Since I already have an older version of Photo Post on our website, I don't have to recreate the directory structure correct?

Also, I'm using ImageMagick. However, I can't find the path to mogrify. Where do I type "locate mogrify" to help me find it?

Where do I upload the Photopost 703 file?

You need to upload the new photopost files to your photopost directory on the server. Upgrade documentation for that product is in the documentation folder of the downloaded code. Nothing changes on your existing gallery the new files along with upgrade script upgrade you to the latest.

you most likely need to ask your host the path you can try using /usr/local/bin/mogrify or /usr/bin/mogrify but your host would know if its installed or not. For you to find out you need full ssh access to the server.

It's asking me to overwrite the existing files. However, I don't want to do this with all of the folders (esp Images). Can I just upload the files and not the folders?

Your images are in a directory called data.

You must upload all the files from the download except the 2 config files install.php and maybe header or footer htm files if you use them. Otherwise you must update your code to upgrade.
