Question I simply don't get it!

hi,
not so much the difference between ppost pro and vBgallery -
but wht do I see PhotoPost PHP Pro and Photopost vBGaller?

since you own both - it certainly is not clear to me:
a] if there is a need to own both and if so, how then do they interact?
b] having a member artist gallery [over 100 cats, more sub-cats and ca. 111 thousand images in there] I definitely need to know before purchase if either or both of your scripts are suitable. The postPro seems to be fine - but am I able to feature it like that:
http://abs-galleries.com/exhibition
The members have extensive profiles, upload perm.[it autozips their uploads]
and all the other normal gallery features.
I need to change script because our site is converting to typo and our gallery script was custom written by a developer that is deceased and we have no way of modernizing anything anymore for integration with typo3.

So - am looking for the most powerful, versatile script.
I need only admin [me] and member arstist groups. Visitors can NEVER upload because we are a juried gallery.
Hope you can clarify my question.
Thanks
michele

a) vBGallery is a fully-integrated product for vBulletin; it requires vBulletin 3.x to be used and has its own feature set. PhotoPost PRO was developed first but designed to run as a stand-alone or integrate with more than a dozen different forums (including vBulletin which has a deeper integration than any of the others).

PhotoPost PRO would be well suited to the task you described and includes all code which you can modify to suit your needs.

a) vbgallery can only run if you have vbulletin forums. Photopost Pro can be ran as a standalone or integrated with several forums

b) Our script does not appear like that script. If you would like it to appear like that then you would need to alter templates to apprear like that.

Michael,
thanks for the quick reply. It's a relief - since I am not using vBulletin.
Everything hinges for me on typo3 cms. And am sure that I will figure out a way to integrate the user database, since I have yet to port the DB in to typo3. It should not be hard to make a connection to PhotoPostPro DB. Just need the single login for the artist members.
It will take some time to port everything from the old [current] site anyway, am sure by then I will be familiar with PhotoPost.
Thanks again.
