Integrating with vBulletin

Hello.

I'm interested in PhotoPost and I want to integrate it with my vBulletin 3.5 forum. However, I'm not very fond of having images, comments and statistics of the gallery on the forum home page. Is it possible to integrate it elsewhere? Like have a custom area of vB/PhotoPost which can be reached by a link in the navbar?

Any live sites with this solution perhaps?

Also, any comments posted by members - are they considered actual vB posts?

Cheers,
~m2

Some examples:

PhotoPostDev
ExtremeFitness

and more cutomer sites in our Sites In Action section.

I'm not sure what you mean "actual vB posts" - they can be counted towards a users post count if that is what you are asking.

You can add a link to the navbar yourself and you can add the categories and/or feature boxes to your Main index page - PhotoPostDev is an example using the Featured Photos box and a compact category listbox on the right (you can also have the categories appear as forums just like the forums list).

So, PhotoPost needs access to the vB 3.5 database? What info is it fetching (I guess usernames, member info, etc) and what info is it storing? Or can it run with a separate database with read-only access to the vb3 database?

It can run with a seperate database with read-only access as long as you don't want to update post counts and such. It'll read user profile info and usergroup info (when importing).

PhotoPost can even run on a seperate server if you want to configure it without the vB3 Enhanced features.
