don't say you must do that. (it's too bad that the PhotoPost people can't document their ENTIRE installation process...)
I was unable to get PHP 4.3.10 working due to lack of installation instructions for W2K3 server. There was a user contributed installation for V5.0 for W2K3 and I was able to follow that and make it work.
Any ideas on the MySQL issue? There is another reference to it in the forum but the solution is to "properly configure a user" for MySQL. And then a reference to the MySQL documentation.
What SPECIFIC user configuration is needed for PhotoPost?
More information. Also buried in the PHP installation is the need to set the PHPRC environment variable. Did that, now the phpinfo.php script shows GD2 as available. But another problem is now happening.
When running the install.php script for PhotoPost, when I click the "Start here..." link, the page refreshes and returns to this same page. No errors, no messages, nothing to help diagnose a problem.
Please note we link installation instructions to install Photopost. We necessarily do not link instructions on how to configure and install other apps like php and mysql. We simply state our application requires these.
I have answered your question in another thread on my your globals arent being passed in PHP 5 as you have register_long_arrays off.
Most every host when installing PHP 5.0 turn on long arrays to be compatible with most programs and this has only been an issue with one other guy in the past year. You find this issue compiling PHP with the strictest of settings which of course is not always the friendliest to any program.
The PHP site has extensive documentation on the long array and register global settings changes.
