Remove "last comment" from mainpage

I'm trying to remove the "Last comment" and "Last uploaded picture" from the mainpage due to lack of space. I've found a setting in the admin-pages for this but nothing happend. I also checked the tables in PHPMyAdmin and found this:

Display new comments/photos indicator on index?
id 101

This was set to "yes" and although I set it manually to "no" those two columns still appear.

I guess I can fix this quite easily by just removing the columns in the templates but there should be a better way to do so as I think "many" others also want to do this.

Those are two different items.

You'll need to edit the template in order to remove those columns if I remember correctly.

Smoothie: Yes thats exactly what I want! I'll check out that template donb.

And hey, nice page Smoothie! And also very nice integration of IBP and PP. I also consider using IP Dynamic Lite on another side. Anything to suggest?
