Nothing has changed as far as uploading in the latest version whatsoever. I can not say why your site would be slow either as our site here as well as my production and even test sites are really really fast.
Yeah I do not get multiple uploads either I would think your server is lagging if things are slow and that could possibly explain the double uploads. If your server is slow and the person is hitting submit more than once and your server breaks off and does another process with the same file before the other submit is done I could see it being theoretically possible to double things. I have seen that happen in vb forum alot sometimes you get a double post when submitting a forum post.
It's happened again today and the server appears fine. We will investigate that further.
What happens is that you have trouble with thumbnails after deleting duplicates. For example, I had a member upload one picture and she got four uploads. Then when I deleted the first uploaded picture, the thumbnails were immediately lost on the remaining three. The picture still appears to be there. When I go to the picture that's still there and try to rebuild the thumbnail, I get this error andit doesn't work. All of the thumbnails get exactly the same error and appear to be built from the now deleted file. How does that work?
Warning: getimagesize(/home/byp/public_html/photopost/data/500/CAM00024.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/byp/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 264
Warning: copy(/home/byp/public_html/photopost/data/500/CAM00024.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/byp/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 296
So when we get duplicates, none of the images remain good after we delete any of the duplicates. What's the best way of managing these duplicates if they happen? Is there a way of deleting all but one but keeping a thumbnail?

If I hit submit in my browser the submit button is greyed out so not sure how your doing it really. I just know it sounds like what happens sometimes in a vb forum when you get double posts but I have never seen it in our product. Since the submit button is greyed out once I hit submit I can not be sure how your even doing it.
