External PHP to provide product reviews

Hello,
It would be great to see the standard external.php provide the option to produce a feed for a specific product, not just the category.
Some sites have permanent products in their database and having the ability to pull the reviews for that product would be very helpful.
Perhaps the existing program could be expanded to include accepting either a category or product, ie. external.php?cat=1234 or external.php?product=43 and deal with the different requests accordingly.

Well you can adapt any coding to suit your specific needs I do not personally talking with lots of customers over the years see anyone have a great need to display a feed for one product.

Now things have changed alot in the program so you probally want to check that out. There are actually

There are two RSS feeds in our present script. There is external.php which shows products. There is reviewrss.php which shows reviews.

Both scripts can either show the last 50 reviews, Last 50 reviews from one specific category. Last 50 reviews from one specific user.

To use the reviewrss.php script to show reviews via rss for a specific product using our latest code you can set the code as noted here between the pp-inc.php line and the $res query line like this

you could then place a link where you want the format of the url is like this

/reviewrss.php?product=SOME PRODUCT NUMBER
