One Review per product

Is it possible to make it so, once they reviewed the product, their second reply would be without the ratings?

So your first post would allow you to rate the product. When you reply later one, it allows you to, but doesn't allow you to rate the product. Maybe remove the "rating" fields, and just make it a reply..

This something that is hard, or you would be interested? This may give what you mentioned the beta testers wanted.

The biggest problem with multiple ratings, you can get one member who rates the site 50 times. But the only way to stop this, is by allowing only one review. Doing this removes the ability to reply, to "chat" with others.

One rating per user sounds logical to me, is it not like that now?

Actually things use to be one review and rating and customers here revolted. I guess each to their own here.

Yes, then it would be great if there could be a switch for admins so they can choose how to set it up. I think when I start using reviewpost on my site (and I really want to asap after the next release) it would be best for us not to allow for more than one rating per user per review to prevent spamming the ratings.

Of course more than one reply per user for each review should still be possible to allow for discussion.

Hope this makes sense

I think this would be a very good feature to have. Allowing one user to make multiple ratings on a product could lead to abuse, with users rating a product over and over again simply to drive up the average. The only way to stop it would be to allow only one rating of a product per user. I could see allowing the user to change the rating they gave initially - for example, if they continued to use the product and were ultimately unsatisfied with the product, or on the other hand if they discovered more uses for it and liked it better and wanted to raise their rating of it. But it seems to me that each user should be allowed only one rating of any product. Even if they are allowed to post multiple replies or reviews, they should still be allowed to have only one numerical rating for a product, which they can change if they one. If they are allowed to "vote" more than once on a product, by putting a second numerical rating in, that could be easily abused, to the point where the average rating becomes a meaningless number.
