Many ratings

Is it possible to add many ratings. For example

Product X
Quality: 8/10
Price: 4/10
Size: 5/10
Availabilty: 5/10 and so on?

You could have bars to symbolise the rating.

Photopost

I guess that Photopost sells more than reviewpost and gets more attention.

This is the suggestions forum.

The developer will look at these for ideas when he codes new versions they do not necessarily mean He will reply to you about your suggestion.

The support staff does not monitor the suggestions forum although I do peak every now and then to see what ideas people have.

Pay

Is it possible to pay for the developmentteam to implement such a function. I really need it.

Having the ability to do a number of different ratings on a product would be fantastic.

Also the inclusion of a drop down box as opposed to just 1 to 10 would be great - as an example:

If you were reviewing something like a restaurant it would be great to ask the reviewer the time of day he went - he'd be able to choose from the drop down box (which site owners could customise): lunchtime, early evening, late evening, etc or even the day of the week.

Exactly what I mean. Often you want to rate different things about a product.

Alsmost a year ago I requested the same feature: multiple ratings. Since then, not much has changed in reviewpost and I doubt if it ever will become a grown up script like photopost....

Well I would not go that far. You must have missed Reviewpost 2.8 where it recieved alot of the same features of Photopost.

Just a sidenote Photopost does not have multiple ratings so I do not know where your coming from on this one.

Sure Reviewpost does not have all the features as Photopost and it is also not as old as Photopost so it takes time as revisions change and go forward but Reviewpost has come along way from a year ago.

There is no question that multiple ratings is probably the most important feature that this product needs. In fact, it's the only reason why I decided not to go with this product a year ago. I have something else that is actually nice to look at and more elegant. I'll have to look at it again because it took some hacking to deal with a not quite mature product. That was reviewcast at reviewcast.com. It was bought by another company that took it straight to hell. They never answer emails, all their links have been down for months, etc. I may end up hacking reviewpost to provide the capability and get it all over with.

What's the likelihood of mutiple rating being introduced into the next product version sooner rather than later?

The next version of ReviewPost has come and gone and this feature request unfortunately wasn't implimented. I'd still very much like to see it in the next version... please!!

Actually, this is what I was talking about too. Sorry about ticking you off earlier Chuck. But I think that this one is really long overdue since this *is* a review script first! This was done years ago when I had reviewcast -- a killer script you can see at reviewcast.com -- but fear not. There is no backend. It was about to become mature and unbeatable but it was sold to a company that has done absolutely nothing but collect money for years. Even a sample sales info request on their kayako support front went nowhere.

Other scripts have had this basic functionality which makes sense. I can appreciate you are feeling overwhelmed about all these request, etc. While the zip code addition is nice, it really wasn't nearly as necessary for a *reviews* script.

Again, I'm not knocking you but I think the crux of the focus of the script is really on what it should be best at and is its title... reviews!!!

Since then I have looked at xtdratings.com (a joomla addon). Again, no fear for you as you must have joomla installed and won't be a solution for people here but you understand where this is going.

I'm still using reviewcast on my sites because I need those review aspects, especially for my dining site -- e.g. decor, service, food, for products - picture quality, sound quality, etc. Had reviewpost had this small feature I probably would have bought several more licenses long ago!

Obviously features are prioritized and not everything can be added.

Basically 3.0 was to bring the code current and secure.

Other features will be considered for the next cycle

I appreciate this but stuff like the zip code addition (at this point in time) are only useful for people / sites based in the USA. It would be great if you could take this sort of factor in to account when prioritising new features in the future - features that will really benefit a worldwide audience should please go a bit higher up the list.
