More Templates

Hi Guys,

ok at the moment i believe i am right in thinking that you can use 1 of 2 templates. now i have classifieds, and so dived right in with review post and started trying to create extra templates as with classifieds, but i can't...

Perhaps this can be added. Even if you don't supply more than the two standard templates, i am happy to manipulate those and make my own layout as long as i can allocate more than the choice of 2 (ie 0 or 1).

hope this is possible. it's not the end of the world, but it would expand the scope of the application.

You can easily write more templates in reviewpost. I know as I wrote the template system and this is what classifieds is modified from.

You simply need to make another set of templates like

showproduct3.tmpl
editproduct3.tmpl
uploadproduct3.tmpl
reviews3.tmpl

and then set the categories to 3 in the input box for template to use that template set

really their is only two main differences in classifieds. Michael wrote an admin interface to add a new type ( still requires you to make the templates ) and all this does is place a new type in the database and instead of an input box to input the number it is a drop down box with title

Then there is a choosecat template which then lists only those cats under the template type.

Besides that the coding is the same between both products
