Upgrade issues

Finally decided it was time to upgrade my Review Post installation but I wanted to make sure I understood all the upgrade procedures first so I did a test install of version 3.2 and then tried to perform the upgrade on the test install. Number of errors appeared during update but it said to continue so I completed the upgrade. I now get the following errors

(Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/???/public_html/reviewpost/pp-inc.php on line 3698

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/???/public_html/reviewpost/pp-inc.php on line 3698

I tried this three different times and receive the same errors each time. Cannot access the admin section after upgrade.

The purpose of this upgrade is to correct errors that I am receiving when trying to add new categories to my current installation The error I am getting is below.

Error adding new category to the database. Returned id was 0.

I need to be assured this upgrade is going to work as there are over two years of product input with over 3200 products listed and many reviews. Currently we have 16 categories with numerous sub categories under them. But as it stands currently I cannot add anymore categories because of the errors. Suggestions?

Are you sure your running every upgrade? The error is because we cant grab usergroup stuff.

The Category error while logged in as admin debug option in global options could tell you what the true error is.

What site is this? You did upload all the new files except the config files correct?

Yep, like I said I tried the upgrade three times on the test install. Site is the Diecast Pub DieCast Pub. Below is the error in debug. Don't know enough about this to know what it is saying though.

We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.

Script: adm-misc

Query: INSERT INTO rp_categories (id,catname,description,catorder,thumbs,parent,header,footer,headtags,password,ugnoview,ugnoupload,ugnoanno, template,extra1,extra2,extra3,extra4,extra5,extra6,sortorder,frames) VALUES(NULL,'Chevrolet','','3','yes',118,'','','', '', '5', '2,3,1,5,6,7,12,9,10,11,13,20,18,17,22,23,24,25,26', '4,2,3,1,5,6,7,12,9,10,11,13,20,18,17,21,22,23,24,25,26', '0', 'Stock #', 'Release Date', 'Produced for','Qty Produced', 'Spec's', 'Color', '8', '')

Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's', 'Color', '8', '')' at line 4

Database handle: Resource id #6

Figured out the category issue. Simple ' mark in the option field. Now I need to figure out what the issue is with the upgrade. Going to try it one more time.
