Text missing all over, mostly link text

So I upgraded my ReviewPost from v 4.02 to 5.1. Uploaded the files, ran the upgrade script. It is the 9/22/2010 code I downloaded today.

Now, most of the link text is missing. Just take a look to see what I mean - - OBD-II Code Readers - Product Reviews

All the links like "Admin", "Home", etc. are all missing. It's like the language files are all messed up, or templates. Initially I thought it was because the /languages/english.php file was gone, so I uploaded that, but that didn't help.

I also uploaded up a fresh copy of all files in /templates but that didn't help either.

Even though I am logged in the "Admin" link is not there, but I typed in adm-index.php and I can see only parts of the admin panel. I see logout and the odd other option, but 95% of the links on the left are gone.

I've done dozens of PP product upgrades in the last 8 years and have never seen anything like this. Help. Thanks.

You did not run the phrase portion of the upgrade. Back in the upgrade to 4 series upgrades it gave you an option to run the new phrase import and you must have skipped over that. ;)

You should be fine now

Hmm.... I don't remember anything about the 3-4 upgrade. Not sure how you fixed that from where you are but thanks. I thought I deleted upgrade.php....?

Around version 4 there is a link to import phrases as languages where moved into the database

You did not import the phrases. The file I ran was phrases.php you can delete that too now ;)

Chuck, do you still have a login for that site or did I still have the phrases.php file there?

Chuck S October 17th, 2010 08:41 PM

you still had phrases.php uploaded to the site. I dont have any logins

OK, thanks. I thought I checked and I still had an FTP account setup for you from a previous issue. I'm not sure if you even ever used it.

It's all good now, thanks Chuck.
