Error after installing ReviewPost

I just ran the install script, logged into my new reviewpost control panel, and got the attached error screen. When I click on edit settings -> all options, I get another error.

Chuck, have you had a chance to look yet? There's something weird going on... When I edit the categories, it says "PhotoPost Classifieds Category Editor" instead of "ReviewPost Category Editor" and when I go to upload a new product, it says "To help users find your ad, please enter a few (up to 10) descriptive keywords (separated by spaces):". It's as if I installed a combination of ReviewPost and PP Classifieds .

Thanks Chuck! Error is gone, and the Admin CP Seems to be working.

However something is still wrong.
-When I go to edit categories, it says "PhotoPost Classifieds Category Editor" instead of "ReviewPost Category Editor"
-When I go to upload a new product, it says "To help users find your ad..." instead of "To help users find your product"
-In the usergroup options, the options are all wrong "Upload Ads, Allow comments, etc", again seemingly belonging to PP Classifieds.

I know this is all abnormal because I have ReviewPost installed on another site (separate license). Is seems that the files I downloaded from the member area contain a mix of ReviewPost and PP Classifieds files.

Could you please help me get this sorted? I guess what I need is to have the whole download fixed in my members area so I can re-download it, upload it, and do a fresh install? I don't want any remnant of PP Classifieds mixed in with my ReviewPost installation.

I doubt you did that only thing I would suggest is download reviewpost and upload clean files minus config files of course.

Chuck, I am sure that the files I uploaded were the ones available for download. The only thing I changed was the folder name to "reviews" and then uploaded the whole folder as a directory via ftp, so I'm pretty sure the files available via my member area download link are messed up. Could you please check to see that the correct ones have been made available to me in the member area?

I re-downloaded everything from the members area, re-uploaded and overwrote everything, and the problem is still there. The files which are available for me to download in the members area are a mixture of ReviewPost and PhotoPost Classifieds. Basically unusable.

Being the impatient fellow that I am, I am going to try uploading the files from my other ReviewPost installation and see if that works. In the meanwhile, if you could fix the files which were made available to me for download after this most recent purchase, that would be much appreciated.

Okay, that didn't work either. I ended up with a weird looking Admin CP and the same error I started out with in this thread...

Please let me know when the correct files are available in my member area download, and I will start over. Also, please tell me what the issue was the you fixed with the first error so that I don't have to go through that again with the new installation!

Chuck, it's not true for the ones I have downloaded from the members area.

I have never owned or installed PP Classifieds. How do you explain the fact that a fresh upload of an unmodified version of the ReviewPost 4.2 download from the members area contains PP Classifieds references?? I didn't mix anything. It came mixed.

Please have a look!

I just deleted my entire reviews directory again, downloaded everything ReviewPost 4.2 from the members area again, uploaded everything fresh and unmodified again, and ran the install script again. Once again, I have some kind of hybrid ReviewPost/PP Classifieds result (see attached). I have spent much of my weekend beating my head against the wall this way, and it is clear that the files being provided for download are not correct.

Chuck, if you can fix the error like you did the first time, I will live with the PP Classifieds references. I assume that when the 4.2 update was done, some references to PP Classifieds got in there and I'm the only one who has noticed so far.

Please fix that error again like you did yesterday so I can use the ReviewPost Admin CP.

Is there any way I can change the wording from "To help users find your ad" to "To help users find your product" when users are uploading products, or am I stuck with the PP Classifieds text?

You can change the wording in the admin search language strings function search for your ad and change to your product
