How do I chmod?
 

I uploaded all the files to a "review" directory. The next step in the installation is to:In my FTP program, I can right click on a directory and change the permissions to 755 or 777, for example. It gives me the option to change permission for just the directory or for all the contents as well. Which should I choose?

Also, when changing the permissions for all the .php and .sql, does that have to be done one by one or is there some way to do this as a batch?

This is my second ReviewPost purchase. With the first, I just guessed at everything, and it worked. This time I'm setting it up on a more active forum, so I want to be more careful :).

yes through cpanel or ftping to your server and usually right clicking on files or directories you see the properties or chmod options.

Thanks Chuck. One more ? - Do I have to close my forum down while running the install script? There are a lot of active members right now, and I hate to cut them all off!
