Unable to install

I have checked my sql username and password a thousand times and cant get past step 2 to install this rascal. Continue to receive the error message

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'edited'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/edited/public_html/reviewpost/install.php on line 566

I cannot connect to the ReviewPost MySQL server. [host:$host][mysql_user:$mysql_user][mysql_password:$mysql_password]. Check your config-inc.php for the correct settings and rerun.

Any suggestions?

well the error is pretty darn straight forward. The information is not correct. It could be as simple say for example if you have cpanel and defined a database and then a user you may not have actually assigned the user to the database.

You must make sure the proper information is entered where asked database host name username and password.

If you get the error noted then something is not correct in the details or permissions for mysql on the server.

Yeah I know lol. I got past that part now I'm stuck on an error message stating that the directory Data is not writeable. Checked and made sure it was 777 from ftp and server.

But this is one of the directories that have to be created because it is not in the script. Noticed this on my last license too. When you unzip the package and then log into FTP you see it isn't there.

Anywho, can't get past this step now but I'm going to Google this and see if I can find any info.

Looking forward to getting this up and running as I feel this script adds real value to the site.

I contacted my host (Ubiquity) about certain CHMOD settings and they replied:

Quote:
Since we utilize certain security modules with cPanel, you're not able to set anything to 777. The highest you can set permissions is 755 without any issues. This should suffice for what you need to do. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
How can I trick the script into thinking I have the required permissions?

Okay, did a fresh install and for the most part, I can see the program and login admin panel, but when I go to see the script in my forum, I get this

Quote:
Warning: require(./global.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/datingsi/public_html/reviewpost/header-inc.php on line 48

Warning: require(./global.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/datingsi/public_html/reviewpost/header-inc.php on line 48

Ok, I'm installed, now seeing this error

Debug email message:

An error was encountered during execution of the query:

The query returned with an errorcode of:
