Exclamation Problem after Site Move

Chuck,

I just moved to a new host (better performance, better up-time) but upon doing so a weird situation has arisen. The Reviews section (we call it Articles) has taken on the look of the Classifieds section. We copied the files from the old server to the new server verbatim, and we went into the admin panel for each and configured the new server paths to be correct, but still the Reviews section at Main Index - My Articles is showing up like it is the Classifieds section found here: Main Index - Cayman Classifieds

Any clue what the issue might be? I am going to download the latest ReviewPost from the Members area here and install it to the new site and run the upgrade script (or shold I not run the script?) and see what happens, but I thought you might have seen this situation before and have a quick fix or a suggestion?

Chuck,

As an update I just installed the 4.03 package from October and I discovered that the config-inc.php file had a line in it referring to my Classifieds folder on the server that I changed to be the Reviews folder and now the formatting is correct in the Articles (Reviews) section.

HOWEVER - one problem has crept back in, the damn Avatars don't show up again. I know you and I have fixed this not once but TWICE in the past and I thought you integrated those fixes with the latest builds, but evidently not since it isn't showing up. Can you help me out here???

Yep i sent you email, the problem is that the 4.03 vb3.php file doesn't work right for avatars and the one we manually corrected back on July 24th does work. I have sent both to you in email for a comparison to see what code in the 4.03 file is causing the problem. I am running the old July 24th file on my site now so that I have working avatars until the 4.03 file is fixed.

Does that mean you have a fix for the 4.03 vb3.php file then that I can try out to see if it works on my site? If so please email me the file to try and I will do so and report back!

I have vbgallery, reviewpost and classifieds

Classifieds is using my 7/24/08 "modified" version of the 4.02 file and
works for avatars, but does not have signature file pics. (it just shows {sigpic}{/sigpic}) (used squiggley brackets for regular brackets so it would show up in this message)

Reviewpost is using my 7/24/08 "modified" version of the 4.02 file and works for avatars and not sig pics. (it just shows {sigpic}{/sigpic})

vbgallery is whatever the latest is and it works for avatars but the sig pic is just a red X

So none of them are working at 100%.

Chuck,
I am glad it is working at your site, what is different about your vb3.php file than what is included in the 4.03 release??

If you want to email me your file(s) to test on my site I can do so, you have my email address.

Ok Chuck I downloaded those 4.03 days ago to test out, the vb3.php file included in the latest downloads here do not work on my site and other people's site so it seems. Why I don't know, but that's why I sent you the 7/24/08 modified 4.02 file in email to compare vs. the 4.03 file that you have available here. One works, the other doesn't, there isn't a lot of code differences between the two, hence I thought you could spot what the problem is.

I can take your 4.03 code and start selectively removing things until I get back to my modified 4.02 code and see what you've added to 4.03 that stops it from working correctly if that helps.

Ok I am going to go to the members area right now and download the latest and greatest zip file of reviewpost. Then I will upload the vb3.php and showproduct.php files from that zip to my server and report back.

Ok I did that,
I copied up the \reviews\forums\vb3.php file and the \reviews\showproduct.php file

Now Avatars WORK, but signature pics are RED X's, (same as my gallery results).

For example the member KS-CS posted a comment in a review and his signature pic is a red X, when I right click on it and choose properties, this is the link to the image it is trying to display:

http://www.caymanclub.net/signaturep...gpic5646_4.jpg

Then I go into the main site forums, find a message posted by this same user and see his signature pic shows up there, I right click on it, choose properties and this is the link to the image that works:

http://www.caymanclub.net/signaturep...gpic5646_4.gif

It seems that the code in the Reviewpost assumes that the image will be a JPEG, and in this case it is now, it is a GIF image but the file suffix isn't being rendered correctly.

You have a bug. Back over to you...

well I would ask why your filename stored in the vb3 sigpic table is stored as a jpg?

besides simply pulling the sigpic information the code to render it is pretty specific and straight to the point

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I use a gif sigpic

Chuck,
I don't know why the files stored in the sigpic table are stored with a JPG extension, or even if they are. What I was pointing out is that in our forum the images display just fine and when I look at the images they say they are GIFs not JPGs. I figured something in the ReviewPost code was coded as pulling JPG's only and hence if a file was GIF it wouldn't display it. Is there some place in vbulletin that you define signature pics? The only thing I've ever done is say Yes people can use them, Yes they can be animated and put in a maximum file dimension and file size. I don't recall there being anything in vbulletin where you'd set a file type for signature pics.

If you tell me what table to look at for sigpics I can use plesk to go in and look at that table and field and see what actual value is in the database if you'd like.
