ReviewPost + vB 3.7

I just purchased and installed ReviewPost and my style looks bad. What is wrong?

Main Index - Products

Also, spider URLs don't seem to work.

well what is this tube thing that comes up on the validator at w3c.org for your reviewpost but not on your forums? Maybe a hack conflict

Validation Results - W3C Markup Validator

As far as style missing images if you edit your vb style and correct the relative image paths in the 3rd box down I beleive where it lists directories like so

images/styles/sopranos/style

to say this you should be fine

Index of /images/styles/sopranos/style

The 'tube thing' is vBTube ( vBTube.com - Official Website ), a video script I use. I see now that vBSEO seems to be broken in /products ( Reviewpost ) as well. I am not sure I understand your suggestion for fixing the images. I see the problem, it's adding /products after root, but I am not sure how to fix it. I tried putting / and hxxp://malesopranos.com ( had to change http to hxxp to prevent vBSEO link ) before images/styles/sopranos/ in the style in AdminCP but that didn't fix it.
I tried creating a fresh vBulletin style to see if ReviewPost works there and it does. It must work with my custom style though since I paid a fortune for it and can't switch to default style just for ReviewPost.

Thanks for your support!

You can contact vbseo on how to disable that product from interfering with reviewpost.

As far as images you need to use full url to the images so reviewpost can find them. when you use a relative path like noted above it will search for images in the reviewpost directory because your using a relative path so all paths need to be full urls.

Thanks. As I said I tried setting full path in vBulletin style options but it didn't change a thing. Did I forget something?

You could send us an admin login to support at photopost dot com and I could try thats the issue fix as I see it. If it cant find images because of relative urls they must be set to full urls

Sure, I'll send it now. Will you only need Admin login?

You seem to have fixed it! Brilliant. It seems that the avatar in right top of the site is a little wrong though. I see that you use vBSEO, do you not have a solution for vBSEO with ReviewPost spider URLs? I couldn't find anything in the vBSEO forums so I'll have to post a thread on it if you don't have the solution. I don't want to turn vBSEO off inside ReviewPost since external links must still be vBSEO'd whilst internal should be SEO'd by ReviewPost's engine.

Our product has nothing to do with vbSEO that works with the forum. yes we use vbSEO for the forums but that does not rewrite urls on the gallery review or classifieds products we sell. The urls are totally separate

Ok but when I enable spider URLs they just don't work ( I get page not found when I click a link inside ReviewPost ).

That is because your server does not support the spider urls we use. Your apache needs to support one of these depending on your apache version.

AcceptpathInfo On
AllowPathInfo On

Thanks, I got it working. Can you tell me how I can edit the ReviewPost templates? ( I know it's not in vBulletin AdminCP ). Also, how can I remove and add product upload fields? Some of the default fields don't fit my site's niche at all ( Model Number for example. )

You edit templates in admin under edit templates you can edit language strings under edit language

whatever your trying to do depends on what template you edit and what your trying to remove etc. Model Number for example you can remove that from the description so it only says title

Is it possible to have category conditional product uploading fields? Example: For CDs there would be 'Track List' and for books 'Number of Pages' etc.

Thanks!

You can create additional fields separate from each cat under admin edit categories for each category

Thanks. I'm a little tired of ReviewPost using nothing but .tcat, I would like it to use .thead as well. Can you tell me which template(s) I must edit to change this globally in ReviewPost?

Also, the CSS doesn't seem to be completely right. For example, the welcome box in top right of the site ( which you can only see when logged in ) does not have the same link colors in ReviewPost as in the rest of the site.

And one more thing, how can I hide sub-categories from ReviewPost home?

Thanks for you support!

You free to edit the templates in admin => edit templates to suit your needs. We dont really use a thead tbody statement in our html so you would need to alter things to do that.
