| ReviewPost 3.33 & phpBB3 Integration Problem
Hey Chuck,
Now that RP is ready for phpBB3 I was going to do the install today [ source].
Anywho, I realized that I upgraded ReviewPost 3.33 on Feb 8/08. But when I went to the download area just now, the RP 3.33 was posted on Build: 2/18/08 11:17 AM.
So that brings to mind two questions:
1) Why are there multiple releases of the same version? It sounds like a silly question but seriously if there's updates, shouldn't the release be 3.34 or 3.33.2?
2) What should I do? I AM running v3.33 (downloaded prior to 2/18/08) and the whole reason for this is to support phpBB3. So do I need to download the 2/18/08 version and install? Will it actually upgrade anything?
Multiple releases using the same version number is confusing!

I uploaded the new version, did the phpbb3 upgrade, updated RP settings (phpbb3 on line 41, cookie name on line 165)... but now it doesn't work. Here is the error message
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/obdcodes/public_html/reviews/forums/phpbb3.php on line 219

OK, I think I found the problem for that error. I also changed the database prefix from phpbb_ to phpbb3_. That fixed that error.
Now when I load a page, before anything on the page shows up I see the contents of my cookie. Still investigating.... I think setting #215 has something to do with it -- cookie name is still set to phpbb2mysql -- gotta change that I think...

Hmmm.... there is no cookie prefix in phpbb3. I tried changing #215 cookie prefix to phpbb3 but that didn't fix it. I changed it to my cookie name, that didn't help. I also "blanked" that field out. Still no luck.
If you need a screenshot let me know. The problems are here: http://www.obd-codes.com/reviews/
Edit: I also tried clearing my cookies and logging in again. It seems to "login successful" but my cookie info is displayed above all content and I cannot access Admin / Upload. It just says "Home / Search / Member List / Register / Login".

There is no cookie prefix in phpbb3. You have a new COOKIE NAME. You need to place the proper cookie name in the smfcookie variable in your reviewpost settings table.

You can also try running through an install and integrating with phpbb3 to ensure your editing the proper stuff.

Yes I put the right cookie name in the smfcookie setting - phbb3_k3hf6 (not the real cookie name for security purposes). I'll create a new account and see if it still happens.
If I re-run the install will it wreck the current uploads? I've got 77 uploads and 18 reviews. Don't want to lose them :-)

If you rerun install as long as your using the same database settings it is not going to mess anything up. If you continue to have issues let me know via pm with a url admin login and ftp info but as long as you have the correct cookie settings
cookie path /
cookie name phbb3_k3hf6
cookie domain .domain.com
and you set the integration to phpbb3 on setting 41 you should be fine. remember to redownload the build and update your phpbb3.php file as I noted earlier to get rid of the print line at the top of the screen.

OK, I uploaded the updated phpbb3.php file and it seems to work great. Thanks for your work on this, you have supported phpBB3 faster than I expected!
