ReviewPost have been installed, but I can't post any reviews.

ReviewPost have been installed, but I can't post any reviews.

I guess the "Upload Product" option is the one to click to post a new review, but I then only get the message "You do not have permission for this action!".

What do I need to fix?

IN Admin edit usergroups you can set permissions for who can perform which actions per usergroup.

Thanks!

i have set my permissions

1 Attachment(s)
for Registered users to be able to add reviews. i login w/ a registered user but don't see an option anywhere...

In the Product Options drop-down while viewing a specific product I only see "Add to Watch List", "Report Product", and "Receive Email Updates"

I expected to see a prominent "Add a Review" img if not an option in that menu.

I have RP5 with vb4

most other features seem to be working...

TIA

Have you set permissions under admin edit usergroups and edit categories?

Looks to me like you have not set permissions yet. Unless you set the usergroup permissions to allow them to post reviews then they will not see the post a review links, there is one on the product page as well as one in the dropdown box.

you have not set users the ability to add comments or reviews

Ahhh, so Reviews are a subset of the "Allow Comments" permission -- that did it, thanks!

I thought "Edit Reviews" was what gave them access. I guess that gives them the ability to 'change' a Review (or Comment) after posting it.

Thanks!

edit means edit yup ;) I suppose that language string should say allow reviews?

todknight September 24th, 2010 03:39 PM

Review Post, not Comment Post -- allow reviews, yup ;-)

Thanks for the help!
