| Weird behavior after upgrading PHP to 5.2.2
We're running RP 3.32, and after upgrading PHP from 5.2.1 to 5.2.2, I can no longer see the category list when I try to upload new products. Attached is a pic showing the categories in the category editor, and another pic showing the empty category pull-down menu. Please advise on what to do next.

I only see something like that when you select a template type you have no categories set to
at any rate this is not something you can merely post pictures of please post a url and test user login and recheck your cats to determine if they are set to an a template type thats active and in the template manager turn off any template types that are not in use

Thanks Chuck. We had one unused product type (both had empty pull-downs). After turning off the unused template in Edit Product Types, the list of categories now appears in uploadproduct.php. We've never had to do that before AFAIK. I'll let you know if I run into any other problems with PHP 5.2.2. Quote:

Next issue: when trying to upload a product we already have uploaded on our live site running RP 3.3 with PHP 5.2.1, our test site running RP 3.32 with PHP 5.2.2 reports this error:
Unable to read the format of file: /var/www/html/reviews/data/13/nikon18-200f35-56.jpg
Any idea what is happening here? I've tried a bunch of other jpegs, but got the same error.
You can see the same file on our live site here: http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/showp...uct/250/cat/13
Thanks. Quote:

Nevermind about this jpeg issue. Our admins had made some server configuration changes that caused it.
Thanks,

I think it was a missing addtype or something like that.
BTW, is there a way to get a subcategory to appear after the category index in showcat.php without a hack? There doesn't seem to be an option to change the subcategory from appearing first, or is there?
For example, I'd like this hierarchy:
Lenses
-Canon
-- Current Prime Lenses
---Discontinued Prime Lenses
-- Current Zoom Lenses
---Discontinued Zoom Lenses
The Current categories have products, but I like to keep all the discontinued products in a subcategory. Problem is, the Discontinued subcat is listed before the index of Current products, and sort order only seems to work at a given level.
Thanks! Quote:

showcat shows a specific category so no you can not. If a category has subcats then the script that shows that cat is index.php so not sure what you mean here

What I'd like to do is to move the subcat below the index of products, as shown in the attached pic. Quote:

Yeah, that's what I thought. Just trying to avoid more modifications if possible, as they are a pain whenever we upgrade to the latest version.
The screen shot is from our backup test site. It's in a protected realm, and I didn't want to experiment with our live site. Quote:
