Well, I have quite a common problem but with a twist.

Data and Uploads directory and their sub-directories are all set at 777. I don't have a data/500 subdirectory however as it's not included in ReviewPost.

My warning is:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/animeon2/public_html/reviews/data/3/death-note.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /reviews/image-inc.php on line 63

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpDQw3HU' to '/home/animeon2/public_html/reviews/data/3/death-note.jpg' in /reviews/image-inc.php on line 63

Now I don't even have a data/3/ subdirectory. I thought this is created on the fly? So how do I get around this problem?

Ok, fixed the problem. Ended up having to start with a new Data folder. FTP'd into the server and deleted all old images from the Data folder and started from fresh again.

Well, looks like the problem is back. I successfully uploaded a review then decided to move it to another category. However, the images were unable to make the move.

So I deleted the review and re-added it now only for the same error now occuring as can be found in post#1 above.

I did "Scan the Database" from admin-cp, but to no avail. Sub-folder "3" doesn't exist now in the data folder.

I can no longer upload products as it's trying to go into the "3# data folder which doesn't exist.

You need to know why that directory does not exist

I would always suggest if you have modified any files make sure you download the build update files and of course make sure the obvious things like safe mode is off on your server etc.

All was fine until I decided to move a product to a different category. That's when ReviewPost couldn't move the images. In the end, I then had to manually create a "3" data folder to make it work.

Will pay close attention next time I decide to move products to a different category.

well as I stated without knowing my your data category does not exist there is not much we can say. The only way I know that categories are not created is when safe mode is on the server but that also means you can not upload either usually
