Post upgrade issues

I upgraded from 2.8.2 to 3.3.2 and it all worked fine throughout the upgrade. Except for these:

1: It doesn't recognize me as admin. I've seen several posts about it here, but none of the solutions seem to apply. My user table is empty, obviously, and no changes have been made to the usergroups, so admin is 6, and it recognizes me so it's connecting to the vb2 database correctly

Issue 2 is that the config-inc is filled out correctly, but ends right after

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
while in the install.htm it mentions a whole lot more. Is the install.html out of date or am i missing half the config-inc?

And 3 , I've set all the paths etc in my config-intr but when I turn vb2 integration on, i end up with a blank page. Something must not be right, but I can't figure out what it is..

Any direction is appreciated

well you might want to post links etc here

The upgrade doc is what you want to follow in the documentation folder not the install instructions.

That's where it is until I update the DNS with the .net domain. I did follow the upgrade doc, even though it's not very elaborate. Since the old config-inc was missing things, i just updated the one included in the zip. The config-intr was missing entirely. Still doesn't explain how the config-inc content mentioned in the install doc differs from the actual content though

thx

Thats info on install is from an original config versions back

If you have issues please post exact errors

what do you mean it doesnt recognize you? If you replaced an older config that had cookie data with a newer one then thats your issue. You have no cookie settings. You can view the settings table in the database and update settings 213-215 to say this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .chopperweb.info

vb should match this as well

I am actually using the config-inc that came with RP3.2.3. I changed all the variables in there, and RP works fine. It welcomes me with my username, has everything in it that it should, it just doesn't know I'm an admin. So no admin link, and if i try to goto index-adm.php, it tells me i'm no admin. That's the main issue.

The other issue I'm having, for which i may have overlooked some setting, is that if I turn vb2 integration on in the config-intr, every page i try turns up blank.

Your integrating with vb2? You mean your not running vb3?

well first thing I would suggest you check is using phpmyadmin or other database viewer check your usergroups table in the reviewpost database. Is the usergroup admin with a groupid of 6 have cpaccess set to 1?

Thats what is needed for admin access. You sure your logging in with an admin from usergroup 6?

Yes, i run vb 2.3 with too many modifications to allow me to upgrade. The admin usergroup is 6, and in the RP usergroups - cpaccess is set to 1 for that group. That's why I don't get why it's not working. From what I can tell, everything is set up correctly

I tried but it says you're not receiving PMs..

Are you looking for a user login or an admin?

i just the photopost upgrade (from 4.5.1) and that ended up just fine. Since the review-part is so small, i'll just reupload the backup and try it again. Maybe I missed something somewhere..

Safe Mode needs to be off but that would not mess with the login part

You can post a regular user account and url here and I will see how your cookie is set

I've attached some screenshots after doing another upgrade on a clean and working 2.8.1 version. It's still not aware that i'm an admin.

Definately recognizing the cookie as I registered a username

IN vb2.php make this change in bold

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

This is how the 3 lines should be

Code:

That worked, thanks. So was this a coding issue in vb2.php? The original says $result and not $resulta

either way, I'm good now
