HTML Tags Being Added To Reviews

This just started, but I cannot put my finger on why. As of today, new reviews are showing up with HTML formatting tags. Since I don't allow them, they are appearing in the review text as text...see below
<P>We just stayed at Club Trinidad 5-14-06 thru 5-17-06. We were so excited to be on a family vacation until we walked in to this place. Seriously this place is so old &amp; run down that it's commical. Our unit was along the same lines. Outlets did not work, furniture was broken, holes in the walls, mold in the shower, LOUD air conditioning, small uncomfortable beds, broken remote on TV, etc... </P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>We had to decide in the first hour of our trip to not let this ruin our vacation. Thank goodness we have a good sense of humor about us. Our children did not realize how bad the place was and they had a good time. We never told them any different. </P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>Please consider this our kind warning to you&nbsp;and DO NOT STAY HERE! There are tons of timeshares to choose from, find another. Shame on RCI for not keeping better tabs on these sorts of places.</P>
I take them out by editing the review, but they just show back up again. At one point they seemed to have "doubled up" on me and there were two starting tags and two ending tags in the same place.

How do I get rid of this behaviour as it is really messing up the reviews.
Thank you.

Well some more information here would help us assist you like a url and integration type and a test login to post a review.

First off are people are typing html in their reviews which I am assuming they are doing here since CAPITOL HTML TAGS have been deprecated for like 6 years now since the release of XHTML. No program that I know of uses this type of html so I am assuming this is your case. If they are typing the HTML then this is displaying correctly as we do not allow html unless you set that admin switch to YES.

If people are not typing this then what integration are you using? Like I said capitol html tags have been gone for years.

I believe they would have had to have typed them originally as they are not allowed as part of the editor used. Since I have html dissallowed for user reviews, the tags do nothing, but look bad.
I tried deleting the tags, however, by editing the review and they keep getting stuck back in. This is the part I don't understand.

I just tried to edit again

Check out the result http://www.timesharegateway.com/reso...hp?product=134
All I did was remove the original review and typed "12345" to meet the minimium review length. The tags appeared all by themselves.

This is vbulletin but weird there program is suppose to be XHTML compliant

They are adding the tags. What are your editor settings in vbulletin admin. Make sure not be allowing html in vb.

Deleted problem review

I deleted the suspect review and re-entered the same information again. The problem went away. I also saw the two tests and they looked fine. The impression I get is that the user tried to use HTML tags. They didn't "work", but they messed up the field in the database (or something). No database expert here!

BB Codes Modified

I just reviewed the BB codes for 3.54 (Upgraded last weekend). Interesting that they overwrite the settings from the previous version with their defaults. I had to remove the "HTML" option from BB codes. Let's see if that helps.
Thanks for the great support.

No problem. Yep if someone types html it will show up there but will not execute unless you turn that switch.
