hey chuck
I just have one more question.
The internal server error was caused by premissions right?

so what should i set the premissions too? which files should i change?
i followed the install guide and it still shows the internal server error.

You have reviewpost already installed and I showed you the link and gave you the login

The install I was pointed to had no permissions set at all on it.

right i saw that, but i dont know how you got it to work.
I was having problems getting passed the first install screen. I gave you the link to see if you can get it working. you did, but i dont know how.

now im trying to make a separate folder and install reviewpost with my vb integrated.

I uploaded the reviewpost files again to another folder, installed vb and tried to install reviewpost and i get the internal server error. my question is how did you get it to install?

ok finally passed that and integrated rp and vb, but now there are just a couple of things

first the "post review" link did not show up in the product page.
I tired doing it manualy like "domain.com/reviews/reviews.php?product=1"

it will say:
You don't have permission to post reviews for products in this category.

I am logged it as the admin and it still says that message.
Also when I log in from reviewpost I will stay logged in no matter what. I log out from the forum, but once i go back to reviewpost im still logged in.

this is a cookie problem?? how do i fix this. i think this is the reason the "post a revew" link is not showing up.

Post a review is not going to show if you have reviews off. I would say first off to check in category permissions in admin edit categories are set to YES for the usergroup in question and in usergroup options that reviews are set to yes for the usergroups. Next there is also in admin options a global setting that says whether to allow reviews yes or no.

everything is great. i checked it over and over and global options and catagories and usergroups are fine. members also are not listed except the admin in reviewpost.
i dont know why this is happening. the config file prompts and internal server error if i try to edit it from the admin panel also even on the one you installed.
i try to find the problem tommorow im really tired today of failed attempts, but i got this far im not quitting yet. I already quit once 2 years ago
good progress, but no cigar.

Well most likely if you can not edit the file either your host maybe has fopen and fclose locked down in PHP?

Members will not appear on the memberlist. I would have to see your settings to comment any further on the review issue.
