So what do you think the problem is that caused these errors on all the steps trying to get to 3.1? Maybe you can help pinpoint the problem and I can try this again. I only have 36 reviews and I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble to save them or if I should just install a fresh 3.1. :\

If these errors can be overcome without too much trouble I would like to save them.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well I only see a couple issues here.

One it seems your usergroups table does not exist so I dont see how your install could work without this.

Now stylesheet table not existing no big deal

Next is this

Warning: unlink(./ BLAH BLAH

EASY you dont have your reviewpost $RP_PATH set in your config file so it can find the files to delete them as its just set to .

No big deal you can delete the files manually

So as far as getting it working, what should I do? Why would the usergroup table not exist? I did a backup and I just restored it and I probably should have checked to at least see if the site was coming up, but I didn't and just went right into the upgrade.

Will there be problems if the stylesheet table doesn't exist?

Where do I set my path and/or is there a directory I can delete instead of deleteing all those files manually? If I can fix these problems, the easiest thing might be to just restore the database and files to the 1.0.1 install and then try it again with these problems fixed.

Please let me know how I should proceed.

Thank you.

Well, I just thought with all those errors this wouldn't be a good installation/upgrade to continue with?

The site is: http://www.ureviews.com/ureview I went it and changed it to a vb3 registration system, but I still can't login as admin.

But I think first and foremost I am concerned about all the errors during the install. Is it safe to continue getting it working? I don't want a half-assed user review site giving me problems in the future that I could have fixed right now.

Please let me know how I should proceed.

Thank you.

Multiple things I see

Your paths are set incorrectly as

/home/ureviews/public_html/ureview

they need to be this

/home/ureview/public_html/ureview

Your vb3 is hacked removing the location field so you need to modify your vb3.php file to alter that query for grabbing a users profile info

If you can not login more than likely you have not set your vb3 license so that any user can authenticate so in config-inc.php set this correctly

Where can I find the code to remove the location field from a 3.1 ReviewPost install?

I tried this thread: http://www.photopost.com/members/for...+field+vb3.php

But it was old and when I still tried it I got this error:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/sitepath/vb3.php on line 346

Line 346 reads:

Code:

Johnny your usergroups table does not exist. Check in mysql to see if this is the case if it does not exist you will need to create it like so

CREATE TABLE `rp_usergroups` (
`groupid` int(5) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`groupname` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
`cpaccess` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`uploads` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`reviews` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`uploadsize` int(10) default NULL,
`editpho` int(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`editposts` int(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`modaccess` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`reqmod` int(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`uplimit` int(3) NOT NULL default '0',
PRIMARY KEY (`groupid`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=55 ;

--
-- Dumping data for table `rp_usergroups`
--

INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (6, 'Administrators', 1, 1, 1, NULL, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (1, 'Unregistered / Not Logged', 0, 0, 0, NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (2, 'Registered Users', 0, 0, 1, NULL, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (3, 'Users Awaiting Email Conf', 0, 0, 0, NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (4, '(COPPA) Users Awaiting Mo', 0, 0, 0, NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (5, 'Super Moderators', 0, 1, 1, NULL, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (7, 'Moderators', 0, 1, 1, NULL, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0);
INSERT INTO `rp_usergroups` VALUES (8, 'Banned', 0, 0, 0, NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);

I have a "usergroups" table, but it doesn't have an "rp_" prefix infront of it like all the other of my tables. Is there a way to add the rp_ prefix to the already existing table?

If not, then what exactly should I do?

The one above has vbulletin inserts which is what you want simply run above in your database phpmyadmin and it will add a rp_usergroups table with the proper inserts you want,

When I try and add

CREATE TABLE `rp_usergroups` (
`groupid` int(5) NOT NULL auto_increment,
`groupname` varchar(50) NOT NULL default '',
`cpaccess` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`uploads` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`reviews` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`uploadsize` int(10) default NULL,
`editpho` int(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`editposts` int(3) NOT NULL default '1',
`modaccess` smallint(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`reqmod` int(3) NOT NULL default '0',
`uplimit` int(3) NOT NULL default '0',
PRIMARY KEY (`groupid`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=55 ;

I get this error:

SQL query:

CREATE TABLE `rp_usergroups` (

`groupid` int( 5 ) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT ,
`groupname` varchar( 50 ) NOT NULL default '',
`cpaccess` smallint( 3 ) NOT NULL default '0',
`uploads` smallint( 3 ) NOT NULL default '1',
`reviews` smallint( 3 ) NOT NULL default '1',
`uploadsize` int( 10 ) default NULL ,
`editpho` int( 3 ) NOT NULL default '1',
`editposts` int( 3 ) NOT NULL default '1',
`modaccess` smallint( 3 ) NOT NULL default '0',
`reqmod` int( 3 ) NOT NULL default '0',
`uplimit` int( 3 ) NOT NULL default '0',
PRIMARY KEY ( `groupid` )
) ENGINE = MYISAM DEFAULT CHARSET = latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT =55
MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=55' at line 14

Any ideas?

That said it finished successfully and it removed te vb3 error I was getting at the top, but I still cannot login. I ahve double checked my reviewpost config file and it all looks to be set correctly. It's using my vb 3.0.7 registration system. It was all correct, but I'm not sure if I need to change this part:

// Path to your Reviewpost installation - no end slashes
$RP_PATH = ".";

When I click the forgot password button it takes me to my forum and gives this error:

"This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view."

Any ideas?

(I also tried clicking the "Delete My Cookies" but it still wont let me login.)

Johnny

Your path needs to be full path not .

Now is your vblicense correct in the config file?

Are the cookie settings correct?

You sure your not having a login issue like you did with photopost all the time because your hacking causes passwords not to be stored in the database encrypted?

I fixed the full path, I double checked the vblicense. I don't think it's anything with the password encryption since I upgraded to 3.0.7 and I am pretty sure it fixed that problem from before.

What other cookie settings are there that need to be inputted? Since I can't login, I have to do it all through phpmyadmin. Can you tell me the variable and what it should be set to? (IE: whether it's home/user/public_html or www.ureviews.com/blah/ )

Thank you.

OK...

I changed the "Forum Cookie Prefix" to bb for vb3 and it let me login, but it didn't give me the admin link in the top right menu.

There is also no post a product link anywhere in the menu, but the button that appears on other review pages to post another review on that same product, it says "You don't have permission to post reviews for products in this category."

When you do an upgrade it doesn't reset the admin account does it? I am logging in with the admin account for my forum, shouldn't I have admin access?

I run VB3 there is no problems running the upgrade.

Gotta be cookie or usergroup related

Now if you post a url to reviewpost I can register a username and tell you what you have set wrong

Okay well they are on different domains so your not going to have an integrated login.

I would make sure these things are set to login to admin

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .ureviews.com

cookie path /

vblicense number in the config must be exact not customer number

Check your usergroup entries in the usergroups table.

Usergroup 6 is the vb admin usergroup and cpaccess must be set to 6.

What? I had an integrated login before. The new version can't do integrated logins? The sites ARE on the same server.

Should I still follow the steps you mentioned above? I upgraded from an integrated login version and would like to keep it integrated.
