Login Problems. Please assist.

Hello,

I've just been through the installation procedure, and was able to login once (just a brief test before leaving to work). Back at work I was anxious to start using it, and decided to logon in the administrator panel to start configuring things.

It tells me I can't login, "Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register.". After a few times trying the "forgot password?" feature, it still doesn't work. I enter the password I received in the email, but again the same message.

So I decide to register as a normal user would do, but then it says:
"The password does not match the password verification field." however I am sure that I put in two identical passwords.

please assist. You can check this at : http://www.reisrapport.be/reviewpost

PS: since I don't have access to my controlpanel from here, I can't verify the database to see what's in there!

Regards,
thanks in advance!
Johan

Hi again,

I must make an update on the situation (a correction)

users can register without problems, as long as the password doesn't exceed a specific lenght (although the errormessage is different)

but I am still unable to logon as administrator (although I tried to change/add administrator accounts through the install.php script.)
the admin-info is accepted, but I can't log on.

thx,regards,
Johan

another update:
I managed to get in by reinstalling the database table (with another prefix), and the installation scripts logs me in immediately. After logging out, I cant login anymore.
again the same issue with the administrator account.

plz help, thanks!

Hello

I registered an account and login fine so the only thing I can suggest is you need to view your database and see whats in there.

More than likely you mistyped your password and you should try resetting it by visiting this link and mailing yourself a new one

as I have said above:

users can log in without problems (so I know that works fine)

it is for the admin that I cannot login

username = admin
pass = test

that is what is currently in the database (I checked with phpmyadmin)
you can't make mistakes typing that

what I do notice is that there is some kind of encryption in the db for useraccounts, but not for the admin account. is that normal?
